Dr. Ajith Thamboo, Senior Lecturer attached to our Department of Civil Engineering has received three merit awards from the @National Research Council (NRC) of Sri Lanka for his three research articles in structural engineering published in top tier journals in 2020. NRC Merit Awards for scientific research are given each year for second 100 researches published in journals by Sri Lankan scientists with the highest SCImago ranking. Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka congratulates him on this achievement and his continuous excellence in research. He has been recognised as one of the top 2% scientists in the world last year in the list published by Elsevier and Harvad University.
