Dr Michael Berthaume and Dr. Nicola Bailey from the King's College London in the UK had a meeting with academics and students of the Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. They shared their work and research on prosthetics and assistive devices. Dr Berthaume has been working with collaborators in Sri Lanka such as the University of Moratuwa, the University of Jaffna, and the Jaffna Jaipur Centre for Disability Rehabilitation for the last 5 years, and they discussed the potential future collaborations in bio-medical engineering. The Dean, Prof. MALA. Haleem welcomed them. Dr. P. M. K. Alahakoon, Dr. A. M. A. Saja and Eng. M. H. Fayas Ahamed also participated in the discussion.
